The Ashapoo, Combahee, and Edisto Rivers of the South Carolina Lowcountry make up the strikingly beautiful and environmentally important area known as ACE Basin. Beyond its tremendous value as one of the most viable estuarine ecosystems in North America, the region is also rich in history and culture. The incredible variety and beauty of ACE Basin make it one of my favorite plein air painting destinations. This group of paintngs now show other areas where the Lowcountry Plein Air Society is invited to paint. .
