Plein-air painting fills me with a glow and sense of the earth. It develops my ability to take in all the sights and sounds and sensory input from the world around me and translate it into a visual two-dimensional form. Although very challenging because of time constraints and changing light and other conditions, painting plein air is a thrilling way to study and react to nature's unfiltered beauty.
